Plant Adaptations

Screen Grab of the Plant Adaptations resourse This resource is designed to be used by visiting educational groups and individual visitors to the gardens as part of their onsite excursions. It provides an interpretive and interactive resource for the learner as they make their way through a series of plant environments including, rainforest, subantarctic, alpine and desert.

It is envisaged that this resource will be further developed after the project's completion and will eventually encompass interactive video and sound created with Macromedia® Flash®.

The Catalogue of Tree Disorders

Screen Grab of the Tree Disorders resourceThe catalogue of tree disorders has been designed to provide an interactive and mobile resource for staff, students and visitors to the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens. It provides the user with written and pictorial details on tree disorders found within the gardens.

The product has been completed as a working prototype for the project in order to demonstrate its potential as a practical resource. Currently the resource includes canopy disorders content only with additional content being added progressively at a later date by the RTBG.
